Sonho sat down on a seat where he could see the altar very well.
A short moment he admired the chapel, which he saw for the first time.
It was serene and intimate, just the way he liked it.

When the ceremony began, Tacuma ask for a moment to give your personal thoughts and prayers to the two men he owed a lot to, if not almost everything he had on this earth. Accept for Jah off course.
Snjoel, his teacher in spiritual way and Raboude in secular way.
he felt that both were near.

Then he said the words of the prayer with the rest.

God the Creator of all things,
we entrust to you this day!
Guide us in our actions,
our innermost thoughts,
You ,that know everything,
purify them to conform to Your will.

You the Almighty,
that everything expected,
but that leaves us free of our destiny,

inspire those who turn away
from your Divine word,
because they help us to preserve the world.

Amen

He smiled to Lady Philippa Vittoria.

I am pleased also to be here ; frankly. These lands are not unknown to me, they are not very far from I grew up in my early life.
For the rest, I am sure that Raboude is now near Aristotle and Christos, under the calm reign of God.

The book of Virtues he gave me is still the one that I use on every mass and celelbration.

He bowed and then reached the ranks.
The ceremony began, and he also said the words :

God the Creator of all things,
we entrust to you this day!
Guide us in our actions,

purify them to conform to Your will.

The Camerlengo felt the pressure of his daughter on his arm.
Gently took her hand, and then,
bowed his head and prayed his prayer, dedicated to the Lord and all his loved ones, and those who were now in solar paradise

Between the people who were late, Frederick recognised Bazil, and he gave him a friendly nod. He heard what the priest said, but in his mind he was busy securing the place as usual. When a prayer started however, he joined in, and with his own soft deep voice he repeated with the crowd the words of Tacuma. Here and there he kept silence because it was the first time he heard it, but all in all he did a decent efford.

Consecration of the Chapel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Consecration of the Chapel   Consecration of the Chapel - Page 2 EmptyWed Feb 27, 2013 10:01 am

The old Cardinal was deeply moved
and looked with love present,
the beloved niece, the brother ...
Then returned to observe the chapel.

Inside were prepared the four elements.

Small mounds of Brabant
had been blessed
and placed on the floor of ancient bricks,

the baptismal font and the aspergillum
had been filled
with the clear water of the river Dijle
that flowed for centuries in Brabant,
after being blessed,

strong in the air everyone felt the intense perfume of incense,

and the candles were burning,
illuminating the place.

The Earth and water. the air and fire.

Tacuma took the aspergillum with holy water
and sprinkled slowly toward the altar,
toward the front door of the church,
to the ancient windows that adorned it.

Posed the aspergillum
and then joined the hands
reciting the consecration of the chapel
as for centuries had always been done

"May the Almighty protect this place
from the impure
and make it a place consecrated to Him!

The holy Aristotle infuse the Reason
in the tormented thoughts that visit this place,

May our Creator bless this place
dedicated to spreading His word!

That Christos infuse peace in the hearts
of those who visit this place!

This place will become the root node
of our path to peace,
love and paradise solar.

To Titus,
who consecrated the first cathedral,
and the power he has given to us
to perpetuate this action,

I, His Eminence Tacuma de 'Giustiniani Borgia,
I consecrate this place
to make it as an entry point to the community of the faithful,
with the name of
the Chapel of St. Sjnoel
This place is now a holy place
interdict those who have no faith
or who are excluded from the community of the faithful.
Any act of blasphemy made here
will be considered as an insult to Our Lord.
Amen

Then turned to Philippa and, smiling at her, whispering
Philippa, I invite you to read

Silvain left Arkel in a hurry. Even though he was still setting everything back up he had received an invitation of someone who was very dear to him. The finishing of the construction of the Chapel dedicated to Sjnoel was an event he didn't mind going too.
Though the years were gaining on him and the years in the monastery haven't helped it a bit. Traveling the long distance wasn't very comfortable at all. Especially because his mind kept drifting towards the old days when he served together with Sjnoel in the Teutonic Order. There were many good memories to behold, but it also made him feel old... So many had left this world already for the next. Silvain sometimes wondered why he was still here while others had departed. But he knows why. He still has tasks to do in Holland, it just isn't his time yet.

When he arrived at the chapel he noticed he was late, as quick and silent as he could he sat at the back of the chapel and with his old rusty voice he joined in with the singing.

Consecration of the Chapel - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Consecration of the Chapel   Consecration of the Chapel - Page 2 EmptyWed Feb 27, 2013 11:36 pm

She knew this moment would come, but now her nerves tell her too. For days did she practise and know
the words were all gone. For a second does she lay her head against her fathers shoulder to lend his strength.
She can do it, she is his child.

When she stands in the front of the chapel, next to her Zio, she can see all the people who are there with
her and she smiles. A little cough and she remembers everything.

Dear people present here on this special day, in this special chapel. You all are here because there is a
special connection between you and my life. It touches my heart to see you here, to be a part of the
consecration. We all have people in our hearts who we can not touch with our hands, but they touched
our souls. I invite you to whisper there names in this chapel and you are very welcome to honour them
in our crypt when it is finished.

Now I want to pray with you, a pray special to me because Raboude and I prayed it many times together.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

After the last words, she smiles gentle to her Zio and sits next to her father.

Anton did not understand the english language. Fortunately he had taken his servant to the consecration. The servant Aldert had been in Wales for ten years and understood both Welsh as English. He did his best to whisper the translations into Anton his ear. When everybody started to pray, Anton recognized the pray. He only knew the dutch version. Softly he whispered the dutch version along with the english speaking visitors of Sjnoel his chapel.

Heer, maak me tot een instrument van uw vrede.

Laat me liefde zaaien waar haat is,
vergeving waar men elkaar kwetst,
geloof waar twijfel is,
hoop waar wanhoop is,
licht waar duisternis heerst,
vreugde waar droefheid is.

O, Goddelijke heerser,

In silence, Frederick watched the ceremony. He observed as his Duchess spoke about her late husband and noticed the emotion in her voice. Near him, he heard Anton repeat the prayer in Dutch. He decided not to do so aloud, it felt like an intrusion from his part in the lives from these people, but he kept his hands in prayer and repeated the words in his head to allow their meaning to enter his soul.

Aislinn listened Pippa's words and a tear fell from her eyes, while Aislinn felt so proud of Pippa.
She remembered the Emperor Raboude and the Empress Adala, important people that had left them. But they lived in the bottom of their heart, and it was in the bottom of her heart that she repeated the prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Quarion was proud of that wonderful daughter.
Their two loved each other of that love that only a father and a daughter so close, can feed. And slowly repeated the prayer of Philippa and Raboude

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Everyone had prayed the prayer so dear to Philippa and Tacuma took word again

This consecration escapes any profane use,
converting our chapel in the house of the Almighty
and place of prayer.

And now
let us humbly pray to the Lord
to wrap his immense love
this place
because it is always dedicated to the union of the people
who will cross his door,
because it is a place of intimate union with the Almighty
in joy and peace,

The Lord bless us and guide us with his fatherly hand.
Amen

The consecration was over, Tacuma would soon left for Rome
where he declared after the ceremony.
From that moment Chapel of St. Sjnoel could receive the prayers,
ceremonies and be moment of union
with those who had left the earthly life.

When he heard the final prayer, Frederick repeated "Amen" after the chaplain. All of the sudden he was reminded that Tacuma would soon need a room in the castle as well, for the days when he would be in Brabant. He blushed. Why didn't he think of that sooner... He would have to speak to the Duchess about it. He stood up when the ceremony was over, and his eyes were looking for Lasse. The young man had come to them and he had requested to speak with the Duchess. He winked to Lasse to come near him.

If you are up for it, you can join me in escorting the Duchess to the castle. Do not speak to her untill I introduce you and be as polite as possible. Can you do that?

With wide eyes he had followed the ceremony. Now and then his mouth had fell open a bit. He was overwelmed
by the clothing of some of the guest and by the words that were spoken. If he had known the words he would have
said the prair. But he did not.

As he watched the people moving around after the cermony, he saw the man, he met befor winking at him. Lasse quickly
looked around, and then pointed his finger at him self. with small steps he got closer to the man, who spook to him with
some usefull advice. He only knoddet at the man, steering him in the eyes. He felt misplaced somehow, nervous.

Good boy. Now come with me.

Frederick left the chapel and went searching for the horses at tavern "Den Hoorn". He asked specificly for the three horses of Lasse, the Duchess and himself and gave the reigns of Lasse's horse, and the one of the Duchess, to him. He shook his head for the pain he had to go trough again, but decided to make short work of it. He climbed the horse and immediately the pain in his bad leg came up. He bit his teeth while he pulled that leg over the back of the horse and sighed with relief when he was in position. He looked at Lasse again.

Don't tell the Duchess what you saw, will you? I prefer she is not confronted too often with my sore leg. Don't mount your horse yet, I might ask you to help her with it. Will you pass me the reigns of the Duchess' horse? We will wait for her outside the chapel.

Lasse watched Frederick as he looked like being in pain. Lasse stept forewards, to help, but his insecureness held him back.
He only knodded at Frederick when he was told not to tell the dutchess what he had seen. He gave the reigns to the man
bitting away his pains. Lasse felt sorry for the man, he seemed like a good man, a good hart. To bury such pain, must had been
a burden on the man.

Impressed by the service does Pippa greet everyone in silence and leaves the chapel with all the words in her head. Surprised does she
smile when she sees Frederick, the young De Ligne and the horses.

Thank you for bringing my horse Frederick and for holding this young man here. I am glad we can start to meet each other properly. Will
you join me to my home? There will be a warm fire and I have a good wine we can drink. I really like to know you. To hear your story.

With agility she rises on her horse and takes the reins in her hands under while thanking Frederick with a nod.

Will you join me Lasse de Ligne?

Frederick looked a bit surprised that the Duchess knew the boy, but tried to hide his surprisal with a light smile.

Yes, Your Highness, I tought it appropriate to ask him to come along. Perhaps he can keep you company? Ser Lasse, feel free to inform the Duchess of the reason of your arrival on the road to the castle. And feel free to speak your own language, the Duchess understands perfectly.
